Sheet Pan Pizza
got the original idea from sam the cooking guy. it’s super tasty no matter what toppings you add to it… a couple lessons learned from it though:
- if buying a 1 pound dough ball from the store, definitely take it out of the fridge to get to room temp — it’ll help the process of stretching it out
- actually, if you’re using a large sheet pan, definitely get 2 pounds of dough to properly stretch it to the edges. made that mistake and had to downgrade to the smaller sheet pan
Ingredients
- 1-2 pound pizza dough ball
- marinara sauce (enough to cover your dough)
- 2 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- pepperoni slices
- grated parmesan cheese
- optional: mushroom, sausage, whatevs…
Steps
- Preheat oven to 500°F
- Mix marinara, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and red pepper flakes together in a bowl
- Lightly dust your counter with flour and stretch out the dough
- Lightly oil a 13×18 sheet pan and finish stretching dough, pressing it into the edges
- Spoon the marinara mix onto the dough, top with cheese and the rest of your toppings
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top of everything
- Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown
- While baking, simmer the remaining sauce (this will be used for dipping!)
- Boomski.
