cameron played his first t-ball game last weekend! he finally got to do what he’s watched his older brothers do so many times (including a free snack at the snack bar…)

video of matt doing a baserunning drill.
he had to hit the ball, then two other players on the other team (posted up on first and third base) had to run after and touch the ball. when both “defenders” touched the ball, the baserunner was out and the total bases touched were counted (that’s why you hear “three!”
sarmad, sharon, and baby marcus are in town so the gang got together… rolled around la jolla and windandsea beach, his old haunts…
sharon turned in early so we headed west so sarmad can see the sun set into the ocean
matty and andy played in their respective little league all star games today. andy made some great plays on the field and matt threw a 6-pitch, 1-2-3, 6th to get the save for his team.

reception: imperial palace, pasadena, california
the venue for the reception was amazing. you hear the name “imperial palace” and think of a scary las vegas hotel/casino where people get shanked, but this one was classy. huge space with a nice dance floor and top-class lighting and sound.

two of my good friends, desi and tammy mendoza, are amazing photographers. one day, i randomly say that it would be a fun and different experience to tag along with them on a photoshoot. in a sense, to experience the process from the other side of the camera.
well, it turns out their next shoot was a beautiful wedding for di and mikey in pasadena. i would be their assistant, lugging extra lenses and flashes at their side. also, to take photos of them in their element — a side that most really don’t document (nor care about… but i do cuz they’re my friends)
we meet the bride and her crew (and the kardashians on tv) at the westin hotel and then the groom and his entourage (and harry and lloyd) at his apartment to take photos of the makeup, dressing up, and shot taking
