Instant Pot Sweet Tea


  • 2 qt (8 cups) Water
  • 2 qt (8 cups) COLD Water (separated)
  • 3-4 Family Sized Lipton Iced Tea Bags
  • 2 cups of Sugar
  • Pinch of Baking Soda


  1. Cut the tags off the tea bag strings and tie them all together (makes it super easy to remove them when done)
  2. Place all ingredients (2 qt water, tea bags, sugar, baking soda) into Instant Pot
  3. Lock the lid and make sure the pressure valve is set to sealed
  4. Press the MANUAL button and set to 4 minutes HIGH pressure
  5. When it beeps, do a quick release so the tea doesn’t sit for too long
  6. Stir the tea and remove the bags
  7. Pour the 2 qt cold water into a pitcher (I use 2 big growlers for this — 1 qt/4 cups each)
  8. Evenly fill up the rest of the growler/pitcher with the tea
  9. Refrigerate until it’s nice and cold
