greg and i had to use our groupon for bowling tonight… after 9pm (because apparently mira mesa bowl shuts down regular operation for league play). played 4 games — i think i coulda done better if i didn’t just recently bowl 3 days ago.

i know… excuses and assholes — everyone’s got one. Read more »

reception: imperial palace, pasadena, california

the venue for the reception was amazing. you hear the name “imperial palace” and think of a scary las vegas hotel/casino where people get shanked, but this one was classy. huge space with a nice dance floor and top-class lighting and sound.

it was a fun reception, though all my shots turned out purple because of the LED lights

ceremony: holy family catholic church in pasadena, california

it was neat to see both desi and tammy moving around the whole church to get their various shots. after the ceremony, outside of the church, it was chaos trying to get family and friends to go straight to the ceremony. everyone wants a photo with the newly-wedded couple. finally, they move on and photos are taken of the wedding entourage. a great moment was when cars would honk their horns as they drove by as a congratulations to the couple.

first time watching andy do work… what can i say? the kid can play. his fielding skills are great, good arm, and good bat contact — hopefully he gets his all star nomination! Read more »

so i shot this whole set with the fotasy 35mm lens attached to my trusty nex-3… being a novice, it can get tricky to focus on things — i’m so damn slow with it… but if you get it right, the results look awesome. dramatic is the word

video

this is the first time i took video with the lens… i dunno if i’d do it again — i dunno, what do you think?

i posted a bunch of pics of the mogs & wogs 2: electric boogaloo event on mattersofgrey.com. there were a handful of pics that were hilarious or too good for me not to post somewhere

i’m guessing pics of ray smoochin’ josh won’t really make sense to a lot of those readers…

such an odd smirk on both their faces… the real power couple
